  • Fantastic collectors’ example
  • From a large private collection

Yamaha RS100 Torque induction series, is a series of two-stroke motorcycle models manufactured by Yamaha Motors Co. Ltd as a successor of the Philippines’ most popular 2T motorcycle/tricycle model.

Coming from the same collection as our other listing, the RD200, having been purchased from a prominent two-stroke collector and recommissioned, it is now ready to be passed to its new owner.

Again, with matching numbers to the frame and engine it is an extremely original bike and is just as likely to be a correct and true mileage bike. As you can see from the images the mileage currently reads 18,066 and at the last MOT in 1992 the reading was 15,985.  It’s believed that the bike was stored shortly after that MOT.  The V5 is present with only two former owners listed and will be supplied along with the previously mentioned MOT plus one other, the original service book with 5 dealer stamps is also present.

The Bike

This truly is another fabulous find that has been recommissioned wonderfully and is ready to enjoy or join that collection that we all dream about.

With totally original paint that is in great condition with only the very smallest of blemishes. These appear to be predominantly wear and tear marks, specifically along the bottom of the petrol tank seams, most likely where the tank has been off the bike during its recommissioning.

As with the RD200, also featured in our auctions, the engine has been fully checked over and rebuilt where needed, again all new bolts have been fitted to the freshly painted engine cases, our vendor has shared that it again starts and runs sweetly with no issues from either the engine or gearbox including the dreaded oil leaks, who wants a motorcycles dripping oil all over the conservatory floor? What, don’t we all keep them there? Surely bikes this good are?

As you can see from the images this little baby was completely stripped down during it’s recommissioning and the frame, swingarm, headstock and headlamp backing have all been powder coated and are in perfect condition.  They have even powder coated the rear lamp, number plate carrier and centre and side stands.

The original seat is in fantastic condition with only the slightest of wear to the gold Yamaha lettering, the front and rear indicators are brand new, the headlamp glass and chrome look spectacular, a truly exceptional example.

As with the RD200 the only thing that is stopping this bike being described as a concours example is the brightwork, but don’t let that put you off as even that is in decent condition and should you decide to, it will all be in a good enough condition to be re-chromed.  Again, we would not bother as the patina genuinely gives it such an originality that in our opinion it would be sacrilege to lose that.

Again, our vendor has appraised this bike in an extremely honest fashion that leads us to describe it as another beauty of a two-stroke that some lucky bidder is going to be absolutely chuffed with.  As previously mentioned, this wonderful example is literally ready to enjoy with nothing needed doing or if you really must finish it off, then re-chroming the brightwork will turn it from a fantastic example to a concours collector piece.  Happy bidding.

Vehicle Location: Loughborough, Leics LE12 – it’s the responsibility of the winning bidder to make collection / transportation arrangements directly with the vendor.

 Guide Prices?

We’re different. But you know that. And we’re always honest. In a sector where no two classics are same, how does anyone put a ‘guide’.

Well, everyone knows the broad value of classic, let’s all be honest. So we don’t need to tell you what you already know, do we.

The ‘market’ decides and the old cliché that ‘it’s are worth what someone wants to pay’ is no less true. So why kid everyone!

But, because we are different, if it really does matter to you, that’s fine, we want you to be happy. Just drop us a line at auction@evoke-classics.com and one of us will be delighted to ring you back and discuss, it’s what we do.

Tedious but it’s vital you read this, please.

We will always strive to offer the most descriptive and transparent auction listings available. However, we can’t claim to be perfect. Your own analysis is very important and we are here to help and also answer any and all queries you may have prior to purchase.

We offer and positively encourage bidders to view, or arrange inspections for each vehicle thoroughly prior to bidding.

If we do take a physical, as opposed to a remote, look at any of the vehicles on our platform, they are not those of a qualified vehicle inspector or other professional. Nor do they include a test drive unless expressly stated.

As with all vehicles of a certain age, localised paint repairs are common. This specifically applies with classics.

So, please, unless we state explicitly to the contrary, please assume that classic vehicles on our platform could have had remedial bodywork of any kind at some point in its life.

Two final comments on images and photos.

The vast majority are supplied by vendors. Camera technology has and continues to improve significantly, but please note and understand that image and sound quality does vary. If you would like vendors to provide more images please ask us and we will contact the vendor for you.

If you are at all unsure, just ask us. It is what we are here for.

Finally, finally, finally. Please note that vehicles are sold as seen and a returns policy is not applicable. This is the norm for used items acquired at auction.
