The Honda CB250N Super Dream motorcycle is a classic bike that was introduced in the late 1970s and remained in production until the mid-1980s. It is a part of Honda’s Dream series, known for their reliable performance and practicality.

The CB250N Super Dream is powered by a 234cc air-cooled, four-stroke engine, which delivers a smooth and efficient ride. With its lightweight design and responsive handling, the Super Dream offers a balanced and enjoyable riding experience, making it a popular choice for both commuting and leisurely rides.

Safety and reliability were paramount in the Super Dream’s design. It is equipped with a front disk and rear drum brake for efficient stopping power, while the suspension provides a comfortable and stable ride, even on uneven surfaces.

Overall, the Honda CB250N Super Dream is a versatile and dependable motorcycle that combines practicality with a touch of nostalgia. Its enduring popularity speaks to its enduring appeal and the lasting impression it has made in the world of motorcycles.

In terms of performance, the Honda CB250N Super Dream featured a 249cc air-cooled, four-stroke engine. It had a maximum power output of around 20 horsepower, which was suitable for commuting and leisurely riding rather than high-speed performance. The bike had a top speed of around 75-80 mph (120-130 km/h), which was decent for its class.

One of the notable features of the Super Dream was its comfortable riding position. It had an upright seating position with a slightly forward-leaning stance, providing a good balance between comfort and control. The bike also featured a relatively low seat height, making it accessible to riders of different heights.

In terms of handling, the Super Dream had a lightweight frame and responsive steering, making it easy to manoeuvre in urban environments and twisty roads. The suspension setup was basic but adequate for most riding conditions.

Our vendor tells us

As you can see from the images and video this Honda CB250N is in fantastic condition, our vendor who has owned the Super Dream for a couple of years and used it sparingly tells us that it had been restored prior to his purchase and he has had to do literally nothing to it.

At a push (and testament to the quality of the bike) all that could be found wrong with the bike is a slight nick on the seat, at the very front end where it meets the tank, presumably caused when off the bike as it is just not accessible any other way.  There is also a small crack on the right-hand rear indicator stalk.

Other than that, the bike is extremely well presented with no obvious issues to the lovely paintwork. The brightwork is all shiny and in fantastic condition. The engine could do with a thorough clean but that is our vendor’s opinion, we think it looks just fine as it is.  Either way an afternoon really detailing the bike will bring it up to museum condition, it really is that good.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a great deal of paperwork with the bike, but it will come with the V5 in our vendor’s name. The Super Dream is currently registered as historic so no longer needs Tax or an MOT. It is also ULEZ compliant should you wish to take it into the big smoke.

Our vendor does have a very small number of receipts and several old MOTs with the V5, but it is possible to go on the interweb and download the 6 or 7 more that are listed if you wish – all with straight passes and no advisories which is worth noting. With less than a thousand miles added to the clock since 2005 we suspect it has been stored but started and given a short run regularly, just to keep it looking as good as it does and running as sweetly as it currently is.

Summary

The Honda CB250N Super Dream Deluxe is becoming a very rare sight on our roads these days, to find one in such great condition is even rarer, especially when you think about all those poor bikes that were ridden, as dispatch bikes, to an inch of their lives during the 80s and 90s.

It really is the perfect little run-around and is ready to be re-introduced to our ULEZ compliant cities all over the country – without the need to pay those pesky charges.  Either that or add it to your collection and let it appreciate in value.

In superb condition and very reasonably reserved, try and find another in this condition.

Good luck! Please remember, our site uses anti-sniping software which ensures fairness to all bidders. So, if a bid for a lot is received in the last minute, the auction will go into a 2-minute overtime period for each subsequent bid.

Vehicle Location : Doncaster, South Yorkshire DN8  – it’s the responsibility of the winning bidder to make collection / transportation arrangements directly with the vendor.

Guide Prices?

We’re different. But you know that. And we’re always honest. In a sector where no two classics are same, how does anyone put a ‘guide’.

Well, everyone knows the broad value of classic, let’s all be honest. So we don’t need to tell you what you already know, do we.

The ‘market’ decides and the old cliché that ‘it’s worth what someone wants to pay’ is no less true. So why kid everyone!

But, because we are different, if it really does matter to you, that’s fine, we want you to be happy. Just drop us a line at team@evoke-classics.com and one of us will be delighted to ring you back and discuss, it’s what we do.

Tedious but it’s vital you read this, please.

We will always strive to offer the most descriptive and transparent auction listings available. However, we can’t claim to be perfect. Your own analysis is very important and we are here to help and also answer any and all queries you may have prior to purchase.

We offer and positively encourage buyers to view, or arrange inspections for each vehicle thoroughly prior to bidding.

If we do take a physical, as opposed to a remote, look at any of the vehicles on our platform, they are not those of a qualified vehicle inspector or other professional. Nor do they include a test drive unless expressly stated.

As with all vehicles of a certain age, localised paint repairs are common. This specifically applies with classics.

So, please, unless we state explicitly to the contrary, please assume that classic vehicles on our platform could have had remedial bodywork of any kind at some point in its life.

Two final comments on images and photos.

The vast majority are supplied by vendors. Camera technology has and continues to improve significantly, but please note and understand that image and sound quality does vary. If you would like vendors to provide more images please ask us and we will contact the vendor for you.

If you are at all unsure, just ask us. It is what we are here for.

Finally, finally, finally. Please note that vehicles are sold as seen and a returns policy is not applicable. This is the norm for used items acquired at auction.
