When Bentley produced the Continental GT someone, somewhere in Bentley design shouted; “Bentleys don’t have to be square!”. The penny dropped.

Stylistically, it is fabulous piece of kit. But the GT is also a sensational classic grand tourer. Driven by 6.0 litre W12 engine that delivers a thunderous 552 horsepower, its all-wheel-drive system, air springs, and active suspension keeps everything planted and precise. Bentley built its reputation producing comfortable, luxurious grand tourers. This Continental GT does not let the side down.

Outside

The body construction of the Bentley Continental GT is made primarily of steel, which provides a strong and sturdy foundation, the closures are made of aluminium.

With advanced welding techniques, the GT’s construction is incredibly rigid, designed to cope with the massive power of that engine.

In addition to its advanced body construction, the Continental GT also features several aerodynamic enhancements; a front splitter, side skirts, and a rear spoiler, all of which help improve downforce and reduce drag.

From the outside, this 2004 Continental GT is a gorgeous sight. The muscular, curvaceous form mixed with sharp swage lines give the exterior a commanding presence. The iconic Bentley grille, with its intricate meshwork stands proudly at the front of the GT.

This Bentley Continental GT is in admirable condition for its age and the Diamond Black paintwork works very, very, well on classic like this. The images in the Gallery demonstrate the Bentley has been well cared for. There are of course the odd minor blemishes here and there, but they are consistent with a 2004 classic car.

The alloy wheels, which fill the arches beautifully are in good condition. One tyre will need replacing as it has a carbuncle on the sidewall.

There are loads of good shots in the Gallery showing how clean it is on the underside. Take a look at your leisure.

Inside

  • Saffron interior
  • Multi-function leather steering wheel
  • Wooden trim & details
  • Breitling dashboard clock
  • Electric heated front seats with memory & massage functions
  • 6-disc CD changer
  • Excellent condition

Drop into those sumptuous seats and the interior is nothing short of breath-taking. The handcrafted leather seats are luxurious and inviting.

The dashboard and door panels are covered in an exquisite wood veneer, with a depth of colour and texture that has barely diminished. Everywhere you look there are intricate details and touches of luxury; from the Breitling Clock to the marvellously matched gloss back and chrome switchgear. All in very good condition.

There are, what we can only describe as odd-looking dimples on the driver’s door. We have been informed that these marks are just from the seat belt clip assembly getting trapped between the door and side of the drivers seat when the door is closed, it happens on quite a few cars!

We are also advised that the offside front drop glass for some reason doesn’t close tight at the top of the door.

Mechanicals

The Bentley Continental GT was not just a car to be admired for its style and lavish interior. Under the hood is a 6.0 litre W12 engine that produces an astounding 552 horsepower with 479 lb-ft of torque. And when you open the bonnet, that is what jumps out at you.

This twin-turbo unit was mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that delivers power seamlessly to the car’s all-wheel drive system.

The Continental GT is not just about raw power, however. The car was engineered to provide a smooth and comfortable ride, with a suspension system that is both advanced and adaptive. The steering is precise and responsive, allowing you to feel in control at all times.

Driving the Continental GT is a visceral experience, one that engages all the senses. The sound of the engine is a symphony of power, with a deep growl that is simultaneously commanding and reassuring. The feel of the leather seats against your skin is like sinking into a warm bath, inviting you to stay and enjoy the ride. The body, the interior, the powertrain all come together in harmony once you fire the Bentley up and you’re on the move.

Our view

The Continental GT quickly became a favourite of car enthusiasts and luxury car buyers alike. With its exceptional performance and unparalleled luxury, it was a car that was both modern and timeless, with a design that will never go out of style. Honouring the traditions of great Bentleys of the past it was also a car that defined luxury cars. It’s features and tech were ahead of its time.

Today, the Bentley Continental GT remains a timeless classic, an icon of the luxury car world. It is a car that has stood the test of time, remaining as relevant and desirable today as it was two decades ago.

The Continental GT is a sensational grand tourer. With its 6.0-tr W12 engine that delivers a staggering 552 horsepower and a top speed just shy of 190mph, it is a licence shredder too.

Yet its all-wheel-drive system, air springs, and active damping system provide a smooth and comfortable ride, with precise steering and powerful brakes ensuring you’re always in control. The Continental GT is a true classic.

 Guide Prices?

We’re different. But you know that. And we’re always honest. In a sector where no two classics are same, how does anyone put a ‘guide’.

Well, everyone knows the broad value of classic, let’s all be honest. So we don’t need to tell you what you already know, do we.

The ‘market’ decides and the old cliché that ‘it’s are worth what someone wants to pay’ is no less true. So why kid everyone!

But, because we are different, if it really does matter to you, that’s fine, we want you to be happy. Just drop us a line at auction@evoke-classics.com and one of us will be delighted to ring you back and discuss, it’s what we do.

Tedious but it’s vital you read this, please.

We will always strive to offer the most descriptive and transparent auction listings available. However, we can’t claim to be perfect. Your own analysis is very important and we are here to help and also answer any and all queries you may have prior to purchase.

We offer and positively encourage bidders to view, or arrange inspections for each vehicle thoroughly prior to bidding.

If we do take a physical, as opposed to a remote, look at any of the vehicles on our platform, they are not those of a qualified vehicle inspector or other professional. Nor do they include a test drive unless expressly stated.

As with all vehicles of a certain age, localised paint repairs are common. This specifically applies with classics.

So, please, unless we state explicitly to the contrary, please assume that classic vehicles on our platform could have had remedial bodywork of any kind at some point in its life.

Two final comments on images and photos.

The vast majority are supplied by vendors. Camera technology has and continues to improve significantly, but please note and understand that image and sound quality does vary. If you would like vendors to provide more images please ask us and we will contact the vendor for you.

If you are at all unsure, just ask us. It is what we are here for.

Finally, finally, finally. Please note that vehicles are sold as seen and a returns policy is not applicable. This is the norm for used items acquired at auction.
