With the festivities well and truly over, it’s time to start planning the year ahead. The Team Evoke diary is already starting to fill up as we hope to attend lots of events this year with our own classics. Not long now ‘til the big fella in the red suit makes his annual visit. For some of our customers though, Christmas came a little early as they’ve already taken delivery of their ‘pressies’. The aptly coloured BMW M3 Convertible found a lovely new home earlier this month and was transported down country by one of our recommended vehicle movers, John from Rochdale Auto Rescue. Crikey! I love my job. I’m over at the Great British Car Journey in Derbyshire today where I’ve been invited to drive a selection of their vehicles including the mighty Austin 7. A dry Sunday last weekend meant a last run out for Ivan the Ital, just a steady pootle around the North York Moors. Our friends at Historics are holding their last auction of the year tomorrow, Saturday 26th November, at Mercedes Benz World. There’s a rather tasty Zodiac going under the hammer which has been featured in Classic Ford magazine and is said to be the ‘best preserved Mk3 in the world’. I’ll be watching with interest! Last week’s auction of the Hammond Microcar collection at Charterhouse saw some teeny tiny cars achieve some massive results. The pocket sized Peel P50 managed a whopping hammer price of £85,000.
