With our Sarah helping the team out at Historic’s last weekend, we thought it fitting to follow up last weeks preview with a short review of the day!
Well, it’s been a scorcher of a week. Perfect weather for buying a cheeky little sporty number and cruising with the hood down. Judging by Historics results, it seems that some of you may have made a recent purchase! Our very own auction lass, Crabbers, spent the week with the team and enjoyed a rather busy sale ….

Ford Capri 2.8 Injection

“A great venue and super weather meant we had a busy week at Windsorview Lakes. As usual there was a good amount of interest on sale day, with plenty of bidding in the room, online and via telephone. Great to see some vehicles achieve over estimate, like the 1985 Ford Capri 2.8i which made £22,120 including fees and the 1972 Datsun 240Z making £26,320 including fees. The star of the auction for me was the lovely yellow Scimitar GTE which achieved a very respectable £11,760, there were bargains to be had too as many cars were sold with no reserve. Some vehicles failed to find a new home on the day and are still open to offers, check out their website www.historics.co.uk.

Datsun 280Z

A nice gesture on auction day was offering half price entry for those who arrived in a pre 1985 classic – I had the pleasure of awarding a prize to my favourite which just had to be the beautiful MG 1100.”
