MG B GT Sports 1980

YEAR: 1980
ENGINE: 1798
MILEAGE: 1,630

Here is an opportunity to own a truly timewarp condition MG B GT, with less than 1700 miles and a near perfect new old car.  Recommissioned and ready to drive or show at your local car show now.  We can honestly say you will not find a better example and as such you had better be ready to converse with everyone that sees you in it, it genuinely is a conversation starter everywhere you go, you just do not see these in this condition anywhere.

HISTORY FILE This car is a unique MG B GT. Chassis number: GVGEJ1AG512010.  Originally purchased on the 16th September 1980 from Leigh & Botfield Ltd in Hackney, the original invoice is a fantastic piece of history and is present with a separate deposit invoice.  Also present is the original Service book with its first stamp at 984 miles, the original MGB Drivers handbook, also included is the original Supercover paperwork and best of all the invoice for the Protectol Rustproofing Service.  This is clearly why this car is still in its original rust free condition.

EXTERIOR  With luscious British Racing Green paint and black trim it looks absolutely stunning and will draw non stop attention wherever it goes, where will you possibly find another, as close to new, MG B GT like this, we doubt you will!

INTERIOR As you would expect from a time-warp car, the interior is literally like new! Upholstered in period orange Deckchair and the headrests even have the original plastic protective covering, it is clearly a very unique car still in authentic original condition.  The crackle finish dash is literally as it left the factory - in time warp condition. The floor carpets are immaculate, as is the boot area with the spare and toolkit present and original.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The 1798cc engine number 34466, with just 1630 miles, is simply superb, it is unbelievable to see a 38 year old car in such a wonderful condition, obviously the application of rust protection at its birth has helped here.  With invoices from 2015 showing the recommission including carburettor kits and plugs this is ready to drive to your local classic car show or in our opinion ready to win rosettes and trophies for years to come.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES With the 14 original (Rubery Owen) Rostyle wheels still fitted and invoices for brake cylinders you can be sure that it will drive and stop as it should, in fact we can confirm this ourselves as we have recently renewed the MOT and it drove immaculately.
