Mini Cooper MkII 1969
Stops traffic everywhere it goes and starts a conversation everywhere it stops...
Designed by Alex Issigonis in 1959, the Mini was born as a new concept in car design. The potential for competition use was soon seen by John Cooper culminating in the birth of the Mini Cooper in 1961 and victories in the 1964, 1965 and 1967 Monte Carlo Rallies set the Mini on the road to fame. Featuring an uprated engine and larger servo-assisted disc brakes, the Cooper became a hugely popular motoring icon.
This Morris Mini Cooper has a 998cc engine. It is a genuine right hand drive home market model and was sold new in 1969 by Mann Egerton, the main dealer in Wimbledon, West London. All the numbers and plates are present and correct, verified with a British Heritage Trust Heritage Certificate, and it has a brand new MOT with no advisories.
A very smart, affordable and enjoyable way in to classic car ownership, this very original Mini Cooper delivers go kart handling and is extremely fun to drive. You will need to add half an hour to every journey because everyone will and want to stop and talk to you about this special little car!
