The BMW Z3M Roadster. An uninhibited, rewarding and rare sports car, delivering an unforgettable drive. Justifiably, many commentators went so far as to call Z3M “the best handling car in the world”.

History and paperwork

First registered 6 May 1999, this BMW Z3M has been owned by our vendor since 4 August 2011.

During that time, the very clean MOT history shows it has covered approximately 2,800 miles. The Z3M has had just three owners before that. The total mileage is low at 61,600 miles. The MOT expires in October 2023. The vehicle has been garaged throughout its time with our vendor.

This Z3M has had only very light use (summer only) during its time with our vendor. In October 2020 it was overhauled by an independent BMW specialist garage. Work carried out at that time included: full replacement of the brake pipe system, both belts replaced, both front track arms and track rod ends replaced, new battery.

A vehicle history check will show this Z3M carried a private plate between 2013 and 2020. The original plate is back on the vehicle.

Inside

You sit low and snug inside the Z3M Roadster like all the great sports cars. However, the beltline  is nice and low, so you have awesome visibility.

It’s easy to see why the BMW Z3M is so adored. There is a beautiful simplicity and functionality of the Roadster’s retro-themed interior.

Directly in front of you is an uncluttered dashboard featuring all the vital gauges you need. BMW also clad all the important touch points in splendid leather or soft-touch plastics..

The colour-coded blue and black leather interior is striking. The vibrant combos were a signature element of the Z3M Roadster that have lasted very well.

The eagle-eyed among you will note our vendor has included an image of some wear to the edge of the driver’s seat, an easy fix.

Outside

In the classic and stunning Estoril Blue, this BMW Z3M looks superb.

Externally, the Z3’s transformation into an M-car was relatively simple. The rear track was widened, hence the fatter rear arches which had to be stretched to also cover the massive wheels.

The BMW Z3M brims with character and charm. Rev the straight-six to the redline and you’ll be rewarded by amazing performance matched with a dramatic soundtrack. It’s all delightfully old-school, right down to the five-speed manual transmission

Z3Ms have quite correctly earned a great reputation for performance, panache, durability and reliability.

The Z3M is a model that was almost never made. It is an incredible and really exciting classic that is still to have its day in terms of value. Form an orderly queue, please.
