THE CLASSIC CAR BOOT SALE

27 APR – 28 APR 2024

The Classic Car Boot Sale once again pulls up to King’s Cross for its annual spring edition. A vintage and preowned enthusiasts paradise, the much-loved two-day festival includes 100+ vintage fashion traders, rare classic cars, the return of Charity Super.Mkt, free clothing repair workshops, PLUS delicious street food, craft beer and cocktails, and live DJs all weekend long.

Join us on Saturday 27 April and Sunday 28 April across three different locations in King’s Cross – Granary Square, Lewis Cubitt Square and Coal Drops Yard – between 10am and 6pm each day.

At The Classic Car Boot Sale, you’ll find carefully selected vintage fashion, accessories, homewares and collectables – all sold from the boots of head-turning vintage vehicles.

When you’re not browsing the vintage finds, you can enjoy craft beer, cocktails and street food. Plus, expect ride-ins from mods and rockers and non-stop vinyl DJ sets from subculture heroes atop the Routemaster bus bar in Granary Square .

Lewis Cubitt Square will once again be offering an extended shopping, food and live music area, a short walk from the action in Granary Square. There will also be events taking place in Coal Drops Yard.

Tickets are £7. Kids under 12 go free. Socialised dogs are welcome. Visit the Classic Car Boot Sale website for more details.

On display this year…

Head to Coal Drops Yard for a specially curated selection of magnificent Ford Mustangs and muscle cars to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang. There will be a meticulous replica of a Mustang 390 GT, driven by Steve McQueen in the James Bond film, Bullitt.

Visitors are encouraged to spot more muscle cars around the site including the Dodge Challenger, Chevrolet Camaro SS, Dodge Charger and SRT Hellcat.

Celebrity cars on display will include a previously unseen replica of John Lennon’s Rolls Royce Phantom with the incredible psychedelic paint work.

Plus, Paul McCartney’s 1972 Wings Tour Bus – nicknamed “The Most Famous Bus In The World” will also be on display for the last time before it’s auctioned to find a new home.

Events taking place in Coal Drops Yard:

Charity Super.Mkt

Charity Super.Mkt will be back! Britain’s first second-hand superstore will be collaborating with national and local charities to bring you a brilliant, curated selection of vintage goods, and, best of all, every pound spent here supports environmental and social causes.

Repair Fair

Between midday and 6pm, expert upcyclers from The Classic Car Boot Sale will be on hand to dish out FREE hints and tips for fixing up a beloved vintage garment. Plus, there will be free patchwork and sashiko sewing workshops.

Museum of Youth Culture Studio

Visitors will have a unique opportunity to become part of a youth culture archive at the Museum of Youth Culture’s pop-up studio. Participants are encouraged to bring clothes, vintage objects and photographs that tell a story about being young. These will be photographed and scanned into the archive’s permanent collection and digitised for the future.

Live Music in Lewis Cubitt Square:

Don’t miss out on entertainment for all the family with brilliant live music throughout the weekend.

Sure to keep an upbeat vibe for busy shoppers on the Saturday will be the female-fronted rockabilly and rock ‘n’ roll band, The Obscuritones. Their close harmony and rocking rhythm have been compared to Andrews Sisters singing with the Stray Cats after a night out with the Cramps.

On Sunday The Bootleg Jam will join the line up in what’s touted to be the closest thing the original band performing singles, B-sides and assorted classics from six studio albums. This band have the look, the suits, the Jam shoes, the sound, the Rickenbacker guitar, the Fender bass and the Premier drum kit and are a fantastic tribute to The Jam.

The square will be filled with special content including a collaboration with Krazyhorse dealership – providing a selection of their classic vehicles, motorbikes, quality motoring clothing and accessories from their five showrooms from around the UK.
