I‘ve had my 1942 Willys Jeep “Lydia” since 1985 and she has been through 2 re-restorations during that time. She was off the road from July 2014 until February 2017 whilst she had a major nut and bolt overhaul.
Since being back on the road she has covered over 6,000 miles and never broken down. We’ve also made the journey over to France twice to participate in the D-Day commemorations.
I’ve used super unleaded petrol in her since it became widely available in the UK so I hope that I have avoided the pitfalls of ethanol in regular unleaded. My favourite events to go to are local charity events to show her off for a good cause!
