Have I told you lately just how much I love my job? Well, what’s not to like? I spend my days chatting to folk about classic cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, basically anything with an engine, and then I get to find new homes for them. It’s brill.

The lovely low mileage Morris Ital Estate sold last week, obviously a car very close to my heart, and I was over the moon when the new owner took time to tell me just how thrilled he was with his purchase. I reckon he and I are going to be good pals, us Ital owners have to stick together!

Historics Auction

I’ve just been perusing the Historics catalogue for their auction at Ascot Racecourse this Saturday 21st May and have picked out a couple of faves. First up is Lot 114, a 1961 Volvo PV544, I’ve always loved these and the one being offered by my friends darn sarf looks tidy!  Lot 290, a rather rare 1980 Mitsubishi Sapporo looks in remarkable condition and is being sold with No Reserve. With 207 lots on offer, starting at 9.30 am, they are going to have a busy day!

Tractors…

Joanne and I are heading over to Meltham Mills near Holmfirth on Sunday 22nd May for the opening of the recently located David Brown Tractor Club Museum. The club have kindly invited us over to mark the official opening of the site, where the production of David Brown tractors actually began back in 1939. Joanne and I love a tractor, we also love a party. Win, win!

You may have seen that the ex-race winning Ford Sierra XR6 is going great guns. The current bid is over its reserve at a wheel screeching £8,250 with 3 days remaining until hammer time. We will be watching that one with great interest.
