You know I can’t resist having a peep at upcoming auction catalogues, all in the name of research you understand!
There are a couple of auctions this weekend not too far from me, both of which have some tasty little numbers, here’s my favourites, I’m sure you’ll find something too.
Tennants Auctioneers in Leyburn, North Yorkshire kick off at 10.30 on Saturday 16th with some lovely lots of automobilia but it’s the bonnie Montesa Cota that’s fired up the inner biker in me. Looks like it needs a tidy up but it’s a runner, a chance to use and improve. Guided at £1000 – £1200 which seems fair.
Towards the end of the auction is this fabulous award winning 1972 Volvo P1800ES. Looking resplendent in gold and with only 64K miles on the clock. As a massive Volvo fan I would love this but unfortunately I don’t have enough pennies to stretch to the guide of £16,000 – £19,000. Maybe one day!
Down the road at Spicers (spicersauctioneers.com) in Goole, East Yorkshire they start at 11am on Saturday 16th with automobilia, spares and projects, moving onto the vehicles at 1pm.
They have some lovely two wheeled machines, ranging from pre-war to modern, going under the hammer.
Loving the orange 1979 Laverda Jota guided at £10,000 – £15,000, a very handsome bike indeed.
