What a Day – the BMC and Leyland show didn’t disappoint!

If you were lucky enough to be at the BMC & Leyland Show at the British Motor Museum last weekend you may have spotted our very own Sarah mooching around. Here’s what she had to say…..
“What a day. A phenomenal turn out meant that Gaydon was absolutely brimming with a rainbow of 70’s orange, beige and brown. Beautiful! Being partial to a Marina or two, the display to celebrate their 50th year certainly didn’t disappoint, too many nice examples to mention but the LE Coupe was a firm favourite.
Next stop, the Maxi Owners Club, obviously the nicest bunch of people you could hope to meet  ? After much ooooing and ahhhhing, stroking of velour and reminiscing, I left the lads in peace to hunt out the much misunderstood Austin Allegros, the handsome SD1’s and the eclectic mix of Historic Rally cars. Seven hours on and I still hadn’t ventured inside the museum! Oh well, a great excuse to revisit this magical place.
All in all a great, well organised, well attended event full of happy people in their happy place, the BMC & Leyland show most certainly was the gift that kept on giving.”
