Sorry for mentioning it…but it’s only five weeks ‘til Christmas! Don’t worry, shopping isn’t my favourite thing to do either, unless it’s for car related stuff. Obvs!
If you’re struggling to find something to put on your list to Santa, or have ‘no clue’ what to buy great uncle Frank with the Hillman Hunter, here’s a few ideas to get you in the Christmas spirit…
Car club merchandise
Many car clubs tend to sell printed T-shirts, keyrings, hats and other merchandise perfect for a classic enthusiast, plus it’s a great way of supporting the smaller clubs who depend on sales to help keep them running.
Automotive Art
There are tons of artists out there who specialise in automotive art in the form of paintings, drawings, sculptures, etc. Treat yourself or someone special to a total one off piece of art.
I’ve been lucky enough to have two artists immortalise Ivan the mighty Ital for me, the fabulous Ian Cook (see above) at POPBANGCOLOUR and the very talented Neil Richardson who you can reach at neilrichardsonartist@gmail.com (image below)
Driving Experience
From fully prepped rally cars to 38 tonne HGV’s there’s a driving experience available to thrill just about everyone.
I can vouch for the super skilled team at Mercedes Benz World, plus it’s a great place to have a mooch around too!
Show Tickets
The 2023 classic events calendar is starting to fill up already with tickets available for many, including; Goodwood Revival, Silverstone Classic, Le Mans, Bicester Scramble, CarFest and loads more. So take your pick.
Automobilia
You can’t beat a nice piece of automobilia to brighten up the garage, man cave, she shed or downstairs loo. And the quirkier the better as far as I’m concerned.
Enamel signs, mascots, books, oil cans and the such can be found online and at most autojumbles across the UK. If you fancy something that’ll really make your mates green with automobilia envy, check out this Mini..
Smaller Walls
And if you can’t get away with the Mini, then here’s some ideas for a smaller wall too…
- Ferrari logo illuminated sign
And even smaller walls!!
Now, if none of the above make it onto Santa’s list, then maybe one of these will…
