It’s National Drive It Day this Sunday, 21st April, a day created by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs to help raise awareness of the historic vehicle movement.

So what better excuse is there to spring clean the classic and take it for a spin! If you do, we’d love to see some photos of you out and about, so feel free to email us so we can share them with our community!

What will I be doing? Well I’m all up for getting support from the public to keep transport heritage on the UK roads, so I’ll be taking the Ital out for its first drive of the year. We’ll be pootling across the beautiful North York Moors, give us a wave if you see us!

If you’re looking for somewhere to head to on Drive It Day, check out the FBHVC website for lots of info.

The 2.0-litre YB engine uses a Garrett T3 turbocharger and has an impressive performance of 0-60 in 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 149mph. Oh yes…
