    Hi
    I recently bought a low mileage Alpina B10 V8 (E39, 1999).

    Would this be classed as a “Modern Classic” and in the same league as the E39 M5?
    Values are difficult to come by.

    Hi Pencraig, I would definitely call your car a modern classic.

    There is no way, if not already, that the Alpina will not be an extremely sought after classic. In my opinion almost all the premium sports versions of any marques tend to become classics in there own right.

    Lovely car though, a friend had a purple one some years back and he loved it, in fact he’s gutted he sold it.

    Yes, it’s a modern classic but is not in the same league as M Sport cars (IMHO). You’re probably better off using somewhere like the Alpina Archive for information – you may even find previous owners of your car or picture of it from the past in the archive itself.
