This ex-Ford Works rally car was driven by Hannu Mikkola at the Rally of Cyprus in 1970 and also by the British driver Roger Clark. The twin cam was first registered in Feb 1970 and sold as an ex-Works car in June 1972.
The car still has the original registration number recorded in its original buff logbook. The twin cam is a minor celebrity in its own right having featured in numerous mags along with specialist Works Escort publications. For many years it has formed part of a small collection and looks to have had little real use. The car is well known in AVO (anorak) circles, of course it is!
It is on sale at Historics classic car auction in March. Happy bidding on brilliant piece of British motoring history.
