They say that small is beautiful, and when it comes to Microcars, the cap sure does fit. I’m not sure that everyone would agree, but there really is something special about these extraordinary little motors.

One family’s lifetime obsession with Microcars resulted in the Hammond Microcar Collection Museum in Kent. The contents of this museum are going under the hammer next Thursday, 27th October with Charterhouse Auctioneers.  Many lots are without reserve.

There are some proper little rarities included in the sale, with the star of the show being a 1963 Peel P50 which has a ‘not so small’ guide price of £85,000 – £100,000. Remarkable!

If you have some time to spare, do take a look at their online catalogue, I promise it’ll put a smile on your face. My fave is Lot 114, the 1970 Cassalini Sulky. And yes. I’d happily drive it!

Bring on the Tractors!

I’m heading over to see my pals at the David Brown Tractor Club Museum in Meltham on Sunday. If you’re into tractors, tea and cake, it’s a perfect day out!
