The club was founded in 1982 by Mike Jordan and Roger Raisey (deceased) with the simple intention of keeping the Mk1 Cortina on the road. It has some 900 members worldwide and from the very start it vowed to supply parts for the cars—something you need to do if you seriously want to keep them on the road!!

The club has a turnover approaching £300,000 and around £350,000 in parts at an industrial unit. We also pride ourselves on always providing a newsletter every 2 months and have never missed!! This newsletter provides all the details about the club, what members are up to, spares available and new ones coming along the line.

We have our national show each year, held in conjunction with the Mk2 Cortina Owners Club and the 105E Owners club. This is currently held at the Racecourse (horses!) in Stratford upon Avon—so if you have brought the rest of the family kicking and screaming, they can all go into town after a short walk and enjoy themselves without bothering you!!
We have the website and that is the only way of joining the club and getting spares, so if you are not computer savvy then get the grandkids to do it for you!!
We are all volunteers, no one is paid, so don’t expect Main Dealer Service. What you will get is a free smile, lots of different parts, and the friendship of all in the club.

OUR BIG SHOW IS NEXT YEAR–AUGUST 6th and 7th. It is 40 years for the club and 60 years for the Cortina. Be there if you are remotely interested. There are always lots of Fords, a disco on the Saturday evening with quiz and BBQ, Traders both days, it’s a quick walk into town if you so wish, hook up and camping, shower block etc.
