The Supersport Register caters for the Special Edition Ford Fiesta Supersport. The car was designed by the team at Fords SVE department and had a limited run of only 3000 vehicles which was to gauge the publics interest in a new upcoming sportier hot hatch, the XR2.
The register comes under the wings of the XR Owners Club and although Fiesta Supersports were not badged as XR’s, the club allows them in as it was the fore-runner to the XR2.
Back in the early 80’s a Supersport owner tried to track down a club that would allow him to be a member but no clubs at the time were interested. The XROC came to the rescue though and allowed the member to join the cub and thus the Supersport register was founded.
Today our membership combined within the XROC has reached around 500 members and is steadily rising. When joining the XR Owners Club, if you own a Supersport you will automatically become a member of the Supersport Register.
We are delighted to have a stand every year at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor show held at the NEC in Birmingham. This is always our most rewarding show of the season and helps us to provide enthusiasts with a great selection of Supersports whilst sharing our enthusiasm and passion for one of Fords first Hot hatches.
