It’s been a rather eventful week in the Crabtree household. Something happened that I want to share with you, not to gain sympathy votes or anything silly like that, purely to spread awareness.
Last Tuesday evening I began to feel a little unwell, by the early hours of Wednesday morning I had a fever and felt really rough. Wednesday and Thursday passed in a haze of sleep, hot sweats and cold chills. I had no appetite or energy. On Friday morning I went to see the doctor, who, within two minutes of seeing me called for an ambulance. His quick thinking and confident diagnosis of Sepsis undoubtedly saved my life, within the hour I was in hospital being pumped full of antibiotics.
It seems I had been suffering with a chest infection which in turn led to Sepsis. Just like that, no warning, boom and I had a fever.
Did you know that Sepsis is the biggest killer worldwide? Did you know that ANY infection in your body left untreated can lead to this fatal condition? Even a cut on your finger or a rotten tooth. So, as we enter the season of lurgies, please make sure you look after yourself. Listen to your body and more importantly – if you feel ill, go to the doctors. The NHS are pretty amazing. Evoke Classics are at the Classic Motor Show
Now onto classics and one of the biggest events on the calendar, The Classic Motor Show at the NEC which Team Evoke are very excited to be attending.
You will find us in Hall 2-382 all weekend, do pop over and say hello. We will be consigning vehicles in readiness for our upcoming online auction, so if you are thinking of selling we would love to chat – we might even make you a brew!

Anglia Car Auction
This weekend, 6th & 7th November, Anglia Car Auctions are offering a great selection of vehicles. Among the mix are a couple of No Reserve Morris Marinas and a delightful two tone brown non runner Scimitar, a Fiat Strada which would love to come and live at my house and a Volvo PV544 in need of a lotta lotta love.
