We love ALL things classic here at Evoke, so when Jo and I were asked to attend the re-opening of the David Brown Tractor Club Museum just ‘over the road’ at Meltham, it was a solid YES from us. Housed just across from the original DB factory, the collection is managed by a group of volunteers who are doing everything in their power to preserve the heritage of the David Brown tractor. Time and time again we see these pieces of British history being swallowed up by modern day life, clubs like this are priceless and need to be supported with time and resources.
Their growing collection of tractors, machinery and memorabilia was a delight to see and I’m pleased to say that the day was extremely well attended. With continued support through membership subscriptions, donations and merchandise, I’m sure that their dream of building a purpose built museum will one day be a reality. Go team DB!!
