Citroen’s classic car division, L’Aventure Citroën are sponsoring a journey north to south across the two great Americas.

The car being used is a superb classic Citroen Traction Avant 11B. By its very nature the Avant was an adventure in innovation. At the wheel of the classic Avant will be two French women. Fanny Adam, the principal driver for the epic journey, and Gaelle Paillart who will also double up as photographer.

The journey kicks-off near Paris, where else, from the Citroën Conservatoire in Aulnay-sous-Bois near Paris. At the beginning of June, Fanny, and the Avant will board a ship bound for Alaska. They will be joined in Alaska at Prudhoe Bay by Gaelle where the first stage covering North America will begin.

If all goes to plan, Stage One is expected to run from late June until September, Stage Two takes the duo across central and Latin America which will be January to May 2022, with the final stage expected to take place October ’22 to January 2023.

Codenamed The Citroën Terra America Adventure, the expedition will take them from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego in Argentina along the famous Pan-American Highway, the longest road in the world. Three stages, 14 countries and 40,000km. What a trip.  You can follow the expedition here: 🛰 Follow the expedition | Terra America, The Pan American in Traction (terramerica.fr)
