It never ceases to amaze me just how generous humans can be. I don’t mean in the monetary sense, I’m talking about their generosity with time, precious time which they are happy to spend raising awareness of charities and organisations that need a little bit of a boost. My pal and fellow classic car enthusiast Charlie is one such lovely human.

Monday 27th June will see her set-off in her late Grandfathers 61 year old MGA Roadster, Frisky, on an epic challenge to cover 2,000 miles in 48 hours. With her Dad as co-driver, they aim to reach the four furthest points of mainland UK without stopping (well, maybe for a tinkle and a brew) in the hope of raising £2,000 for the Herts & Beds SERV group of Blood Runners. I’m sure they’ll have a brilliant time making memories while supporting a very worthy cause. Just fab! If you see them on your travels give them a honk and a wave!

The Yorkshire Motorsport Festival (YMSF)

The Yorkshire Motorsport Festival, Holmfirth returns this weekend and of course, being a Yorkshire lass, I’ll be there.

All manner of motors will be racing up the Wolfstone Hill Climb across the three days. As well as displays of NASCAR trucks, supercars, stock cars, tractors, a WWII Spitfire, classics, the engineering village, shopping village and much, much more…there’s even live music!

Autolass will also be there with our charity Morris Ital, Igor and I’ll be there on Friday and Saturday thrusting my roving microphone into peoples faces and chatting all things automotive!
