By ‘eck its been chilly up North this week, a good excuse to stay in and peruse classic cars on t’internet! Our friends over at Anglia Car Auctions have a sale on this weekend so I’ve been having a nosey at their catalogue, all in the name of research of course.
Pick of the bunch
As usual they have a fine, eclectic mix going under the hammer with a couple of nuggets really catching my eye and making me wish I had a bigger garage! First on my wish list is the low mileage, 2 owners from new VW Passat 1.9 GLS5 finished in Bronze with a brown velour interior, of its era and looking lovely and original, estimated at £4,500 – £6,500.
My other pick of the bunch has to be the 1972 Bond Bug, a totally iconic juicy wedge of orangey goodness, just fabulous and so much fun! Guided at £8,000 – £12,000.

Igor the Ital’s Charity Raffle
You may remember that my good friend Jody and I recently acquired a 1981 Morris Ital 1.7 HL which we will raffle off this summer with all proceeds going to the Sepsis Trust.
Jody and an army of wonderful volunteers will spend the next few months restoring the Ital back to its former glory for one lucky winner to enjoy.
Tickets are now available and cost just £5 each, so if you would like to be in with a chance of owning a piece of British motoring history as well as supporting a fantastic charity, please email us at email@example.com for more information. IT COULD BE YOU!
The Wolseley sold for £10,000 yesterday, the bidding was furious! Current bids on some of the new lots:

Everyone has a special memory about their passion for classics. It might be a car owned by your Dad, the one that got away, the project that became a money pit or perhaps your passion became your business? So grab a cuppa, sit down and have a read through our Owner’s Stories and maybe they’ll evoke some memories for you, and we’d love to hear your story too. You can add yours HERE
