Recently, there’s been lots of talk about what the future holds for classic vehicles and to be honest no one knows the answer, do they? So, let’s live in the here and now and talk about how well classics are doing at the moment.
Having been out of the public-attended auctions loop for a few months, it was great to be back amongst it again with Historics last weekend. Plenty of car chat, plenty of bums on seats and more importantly, plenty of bidding. As usual there were a few vehicles that got more than their fair share of interest during the viewing days and romped on to achieve well above their guide prices on auction day.
Cars sold at auction
This Series 1 Land Rover, listed at £14,000 – £18,000, flew well over its guide making a very respectable £34,720 including commission. Result!
| Something a bit different here with this stunning 1929 Ford Tudor Hot Rod, guided at £23,000 – £30,000, but it goes to show that it’s not just the ‘regular’ classics that are doing well as it managed to reach a whopping £41,440 including commission. It really was rather lovely. |
