My visit to the Great British Car Journey in Derbyshire last week was an absolute hoot. Motor racing presenter Paul Woodford and I shared memories and laughter as we drove a selection of cars from the museum’s collection.

You can find out what we got up to by subscribing to their YouTube channel where we will be bringing you the Great British Car Share, a selection of videos in which we introduce you to some of the cars that are available for you to enjoy as part of their driving experience “Drive Dad’s Car.”

French Fancy

So, the market is still hot for iconic quirky French automobiles, who knew! Our rather fab Citroen Acadiane Van achieved a cool £6,200 at auction earlier this week. Tres bien!

Mini Me

When it comes to another cult icon, is there anything quite like a Mini to raise a smile?

The team at Brooklands will be celebrating everything we love about these small but perfectly formed motors at next month’s Mini Day on Sunday 26th March. With displays, action on Test Hill, trade stands and automobilia on offer it’s going to be a grand day out.

There could be birthday cake too, as the Mini Cooper S is celebrating its 60th year!

Auction Update

Well it would seem that the trending Valentine’s Day gifts this year were bikes!

The hammer fell on the 1982 Honda CBX1000 Pro-Link and the 1976 Triumph Bonneville T140V this week, selling for £9,700 and £5,500 respectively.

We’ve been busy consigning lots of new vehicles this week, including this gorgeous Lancia Delta in fab Martini livery and with Integrale upgrades, it’s bound to create some interest. Bidding is currently at £2,000. But if Horse drawn carts are more your thing.. we’ve even got one of them too!

And there’s plenty more action to be had, check out these lots…
